Erbelding Lecture and Book Signing

Dr. Rebecca Erbelding’s lecture and book signing for “Rescue Board: The Untold Story of America’s Efforts to Save the Jews of Europe.”

You won’t want to miss this unique opportunity to attend a lecture from renowned historian Dr. Rebecca Erbelding about Creighton alumnus John Pehle’s work to save Jews in the Holocaust. This event will be an intellectual opportunity to celebrate a graduate who made history in their social justice efforts.

Erbelding, who works at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C., published her novel Rescue Board: The Untold Story of America’s Efforts to Save the Jews of Europe back in 2019.

Creighton University awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters posthumously to John Pehle, who was a graduate of Omaha Central High School and Creighton University. Dr. Erbelding will sign books in the atrium after the lecture.
