4. How to get an alumni scholarship

Thinking about continuing your education? Creighton’s Graduate School offers all alumni a scholarship that pays for 25% of tuition for a variety of graduate and certificate programs.

5. How to prep for marriage, Creighton-style

A Creighton alumnus proposes to his girlfriend in front of St. John's Fountain.

All Creighton alumni and their children living in the Omaha area have the option of completing marriage preparation through the Creighton/St. John’s Marriage Preparation Office, including couples getting married at churches other than St. John’s.

This is a wonderful way to experience the gifts of Ignatian spirituality and learn how to build a dynamic and successful marriage.

If you’re interested, email marriageprep@creighton.edu or call 402.280.2205 for an appointment at least six months before the wedding.

6. How to connect with Bluejays

There are so many different ways to keep in touch with your fellow alumni — by school or college, by the city you live in, by your interests and affinities.

We have alumni groups all over the country. We have affinity groups for Black alumni, recent alumni and so much more.

7. How to find events

Of course, another excellent way to meet people is by attending one of the dozens of events we host every year.

These gatherings take place all over the country and range from networking sessions to watch parties to special events with Creighton President the Rev. Daniel S. Hendrickson, SJ, PhD. See what events are coming soon to a city near you.

Our top alumni event — Creighton Days (formerly known as Reunion Weekend) — will take place on our Omaha campus from Friday, Sept. 20 through Sunday, Sept. 22. That’s three days of reunion parties, food, fun, music and so much more. And to be clear, this is an event for ALL Bluejays (not just those celebrating their milestone years). Everyone is invited!

8. How to stay in the know

Over the past few years, we’ve really upped our game when it comes to alumni content. Not just stories about alumni (though we have plenty of those) but stories for alumni — stories about strange and unknown chapters in Creighton’s history, stories about the transformative changes taking place on our beautiful campus and, on occasion, even stories about Creighton’s failed attempt to make the world’s longest sandwich.

9. How to volunteer

A student speaks and smiles.

Here’s something tens of thousands of Bluejays know: It feels great to give back.

Creighton students and alumni are known for their commitment to service in the Jesuit tradition, for taking care of the people, places and things they love.

The University itself offers countless opportunities to do some good, locally and around the world.

Alumni and friends can stay connected with the University by hosting events, serving on alumni boards, becoming a Creighton mentor or recruiting students to Creighton. In supporting Creighton, you’re also supporting everyone Creighton supports!

10. How to give

Another excellent way to support the University is by making a gift to Creighton.

Creighton was built on a foundation of faith and generosity, and it continues today because of gifts from thousands of Bluejays, gifts of all sizes, gifts adding up something truly unique and powerful and transformative: the Creighton experience.

You can make a gift to any one of dozens of Creighton causes, whatever means the most to you. But where your gift can do the most (and most immediate) good is through scholarships.

By making a gift to scholarships, you’re helping maintain the access and quality of a Creighton education for the next group of Creighton students. In the process, you’re doing something that will make the world a little better, bolder, blue-er

You’re helping to create even more amazing Creighton alumni like you.
