The Goza family's motto, “Reward the good,” aligns well with Creighton's commitment to providing a quality education. When their daughter, Kate, came to Creighton in 2020, John, MD, and MarySue Goza, MD, joined the Parent and Family Leadership Council (PFLC).
The moment Colorado parents Robert, MD, and Denise Benz stepped onto campus with their daughter, Ellen, they embraced both the academic pursuits and the mission of Creighton University. In 2022, when Ellen enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences, Denise and Robert joined the Parent and Family Leadership Council (PFLC).
College of Arts and Sciences sophomore Alessandra Kakish's undergraduate research is supported by the Dr. and Mrs. Randolph Ferlic Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship. The fellowship has a rich legacy of nurturing passionate fellows and promoting impactful research endeavors.
Scholarship donors have made Creighton a reality for College of Arts and Sciences sophomore Broc Evitch. Their gifts have empowered the pre-med studio art major to pursue his passion for medical illustration and helping others through art.
“My scholarships were scholastic based, but as a first-generation student, these gifts meant a lot. Scholarships showed me that when I apply myself and I reach for my dreams, there are people out there who believe in me and are willing to invest in me.”
Creighton has 48 endowed chairs, 11 of which have been established since the start of Forward Blue, the largest comprehensive fundraising campaign in the University’s history. A new endowed chair will help the University and its partners take a significant step forward as leaders of whole person care.
More than 40 campus partners covering a wide variety of initiatives are taking part in Giving Day 2023, on Wednesday, April 12. Donors who make a gift of $35 or more will again receive a pair of limited-edition Creighton University socks.
Giving Day and Creighton scholarships have the potential to change lives. The transformative power of both is created by the collective generosity of the Creighton community and donors, like Mitzi Norton, BA’01.
