Featured Testimonial About Creighton University
For nearly two decades, the Ferlic Fellowship program — established by Randolph Ferlic, BS'58, MD'61, and Teresa Kolars Ferlic — has provided nearly 250 students with the funding, mentorship, and resources to spend an entire summer immersed in research.
Coordinated by Creighton’s Center for Undergraduate Research and Scholarship (CURAS), the program has been a driving force in shaping Creighton’s culture of undergraduate research. More than half of the College of Arts and Sciences students are involved in research and more than 75% of Ferlic Fellows continue on to graduate or professional programs. Fellows' research often leads to additional funding and opportunities for students and faculty.
“The Ferlics’ vision has helped to make Creighton nationally renowned for undergraduate research. But I know that their interest is less about improving our institutional reputation and more about the individual transformation that each and every one of these scholarships makes possible," says Bridget Keegan, PhD, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.
