Your generosity fuels the Ignatian tradition.
At Creighton University, donors like you have a significant impact on our university and our students. You truly live out Creighton’s values while striving to make a difference—at Creighton and in the world. St. Ignatius of Loyola, the 16th-century founder of the Society of Jesus, implored us to: “Go set the world on fire!” Your generosity makes this possible.
On campus, you don’t have to look far to see the impact of our donors. From the thousands of student experiences funded by collective donor gifts such as to the Heider College of Business, named after Creighton supporters Charles and Mary Heider, gifts of all sizes make the Creighton experience possible.
U.S. News & World Report recognizes Creighton as one of the top universities in the nation for offering undergraduates the opportunity to get involved in creative and innovative research projects. For example, 11 student recipients of Ferlic Summer Research awards worked alongside faculty mentors; received research stipends; had access to state-of-the-art labs, centers and equipment; and presented their findings—thanks to the generosity and support of Randolph Ferlic (BS’58, MD’61) and his wife, Teresa Kolars Ferlic, Ruth and Bill Scott and others.
Donors help make it possible for our students to serve others—one of the hallmarks of a Creighton education. For more than 30 years, we have been sending students all over the world over fall and spring break to feed the hungry, embrace the underserved and oppressed and serve the homeless. In 2014-2015 alone, our students contributed more than 1 million hours of service. No wonder Creighton has been recognized in the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll annually since 2006.
