Creighton donor support in Africa
In December 2023, Creighton President the Rev. Daniel S. Hendrickson, SJ, PhD, led a Creighton delegation of alumni, faculty and staff to the Kakuma and Dzaleka Refugee Camps in, respectively, Kenya and Malawi. They were there to meet with Jesuit Worldwide Learning students and to see the progress of the students' businesses, which had been funded by Creighton donors.
The JWL projects include a chicken coop, greenhouses, a soapmaking business and, 8,000 miles from Creighton's Omaha campus, the Bluejays Cafe. To read more about the grant program the projects benefited, click here. Or watch a video of the Creighton delegation here.
