TheoloJay on Tap: The Dignity of Persons and Racism

Omaha, NE

The event will feature guest speakers Eileen Burke-Sullivan, PhD, and Sarah Walker, PhD

Don't miss the final TheoloJay on Tap event of the academic year! We are thrilled to be joined by Dr. Eileen Burke-Sullivan, vice president for the Division of Mission and Ministry, and Dr. Sarah Walker, vice president for the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, who will lead our discussion on "The Dignity of Persons and Racism."

The Lenten season invites us to acknowledge both our individual and communal brokenness as we seek to right our relationships with God, ourselves and one another. Dr. Burke-Sullivan and Dr. Walker will offer a theological foundation for understanding racism as a pervasive form of relational sin, before examining its real-world consequences and offering a few suggestions for how we can practically combat this sin in our daily lives.
