Hundreds of students walk down the Creighton Mall

The Pathway photos: Creighton welcomes first-year students

The new kids are on the block. Creighton's Class of 2028, the third-largest in school history, gets the semester started with the annual "Pathway" welcome event along the Mall.

The Mall doesn’t get much bluer than this!

On Monday, Aug. 19, Creighton faculty, staff and students decked out in their Bluejay gear and lined the Mall to welcome the new freshmen class. With nearly 1,130 freshmen enrolled, the Class of 2028 is the third-largest in school history.

It’s become a spirited tradition to start the school year for Creighton’s newcomers. They make the celebratory walk down the Mall – from Creighton Hall to Morrison Stadium -- before tapping the beak of Billy Bluejay’s statue.
