Mitzi Norton, BA'01

More than two decades after her Creighton graduation, Mitzi Norton, BA’01, reviews scholarship applications for the University and attends admitted students events.

“I feel like the oldest person in the room, but I think it’s great to talk to these students,” she says. “It’s fascinating to hear from them, and I’m blown away by these young people. I hope they choose Creighton and that they can come to Creighton, because they could have such an amazing impact.”

Norton’s desire to share Creighton with others has made scholarships her top priority on the University’s annual day of giving.

This year’s event, scheduled for Wednesday, April 12, features more than 40 campus partners covering a wide variety of initiatives, from scholarships and programs in individual schools and colleges to the student-centered services and organizations that define the Creighton experience. Donors who make a gift of $35 or more will receive a pair of limited-edition 2023 Creighton University socks.
