Creighton News
Where would Creighton be today without Dana Altman? Bruce Rasmussen weighs in.
Dana Altman inherited a 7-22 Creighton team in 1994, when the program had minimal fan support and a limited budget. Then he changed the course of Bluejay history. We asked former Athletic Director Bruce Rasmussen to reflect on Altman’s Creighton legacy following the legendary coach’s recent retirement announcement.
Our favorite alumni memories from Creighton Hall
Creighton Hall (aka: the Administration Building) is nearly set to fully reopen following an extensive renovation of its south wing. In the meantime, we’re reminiscing with alumni about the oldest building on campus. Its quirks, its charm and its history.
Creighton Days 2026: ‘It still feels like home’
The campus has changed, but the feelings and memories remain. When hundreds of Bluejay grads returned for Creighton Days Oct. 2-4, they were instantly transported back in time. And they had a blast.
Lifelong education
"It truly is about lifelong education. We recognize that education goes beyond a traditional degree pathway. We provide professional development, continuing education and workshops for any adult learner to further their education or learn a specific skill or competency."
— Gayla Stoner, PhD, Dean, College of Professional and Continuing Education
Fundraising Priorities

Scholarships
Scholarships not only lighten the load of tuition and fees; they give each student a transformative sense of purpose and meaning, sending them into their careers with a desire to help others as our donors helped them.
Faculty development
A tremendous education begins and ends with great faculty. When you make a gift to faculty development, you ensure that Creighton continues to attract and retain our talented professors and excel in teaching, learning and research.
The Creighton Fund
When you support the Creighton Fund, you allow Creighton to use your gift to meet our greatest and most immediate areas of need. It means we’ll use your gift in ways that most directly and effectively help our students right now.
Restricted gifts
A restricted gift is when you designate your gift to a specific program or area of the University. This is a great way to support a cause close to your heart, such as a scholarship for students from an underrepresented group.
