Alumni Achievement Citation

RECOGNIZING DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI FOR OUTSTANDING SERVICE.

The Creighton University Alumni Achievement Citation is the highest all-University award presented to a Creighton alumnus. It recognizes exceptional men and women who demonstrate high moral standards and have given distinguished service to their community through philanthropy or other outstanding public service. They demonstrate the Jesuit ideal of “women and men for and with others.”

Current Recipient

Floyd J. Malveaux, MD, PhD, BS’61

Dr. Floyd Malveaux is a nationally recognized expert in the field of asthma and allergic diseases. His distinguished career is highlighted by nearly six decades at Howard University College of Medicine, where he led initiatives to address asthma morbidity among inner-city children and, in 2005, was appointed dean emeritus. He also has served in a leadership role at the Merck Childhood Asthma Network, Inc. Malveaux has earned many professional awards, has a long history of community service, and served on Creighton’s Board of Trustees from 1997 to 2017.
