Now that the whirlwind of finals and commencement is behind us, you might have had a spare moment to think to yourself: “I’ve graduated. Now what?”
We’re glad you asked. Because we’ve got an answer. In fact, we’ve got four answers. Here are four things every Bluejay should do as they leave the nest and flap on out into the bright blue sky of post-grad life …
1. Update your info
“It’s important for us to stay connected,” said Kate Glow, Alumni Relations’ director of regional and outreach programs. “We want to know what’s going on in your lives. We want to keep you connected with each other. We want to tell you how Creighton students and faculty continue to change the world.”
Make sure we’re up to date on your latest address, contact info, social media accounts and more. Send your info to alumni [at] creighton [dot] edu.
2. Attend a Creighton event
Whether you’re in Omaha, Houston, St. Louis, Kansas City, New York, wherever you are, you can find an event to meet up with your fellow Bluejays. “Creighton events are the best way to network,” said Anna Alexander, Alumni Relations’ assistant director of regional and outreach programs. “They’re the best way to grow your Creighton family.” Alumni can meet up for happy hours, professional sporting events, Christmas parties and more in cities all over the U.S.
3. Get involved
You can volunteer your time to Creighton in a number of ways:
- Reach out to a club in your region here.
- Volunteer through your school or college here.
- Help with student admissions here.
- Or contact alumni [at] creighton [dot] edu to see what opportunities are available in your area.
4. Make a gift on Creighton Giving Day
Our annual day of giving is a great way for alumni to support the areas of campus that mean the most to them. Your gift matters. Your support helps fulfill Creighton’s Jesuit, Catholic mission of forming people of conscience and compassion — people just like you.
