Tom Nichting exudes the quiet confidence of a successful business leader – one who commands the respect of customers, employees and fellow CEOs. Much of his success can be attributed to his broad-based experience and acumen embracing all aspects of his business.

The Pilot Grove, Iowa native received his bachelor’s degree in finance from Creighton University’s College of Business Administration in 1983. He began his career with IBM, then joined First Data Corporation, where he spent 13 years, becoming president of First Data’s Utility Services Division, Output/PlastiCards Division, First Data Solutions, Teleservices and Call Interactive business units.

In 2007, Tom joined CSG Systems, Inc. as President and CEO of its wholly owned subsidiary company, Prairie Interactive Messaging. He oversees all aspects of business operations. The company delivers applications that manage workforce and critical communications, collections, lead generation, automated order entry and other key business functions. Clients include a number of Fortune 500 companies, including those in financial services, telecommunications, transportation, direct response and contact center business sectors. Under his leadership, the company strives to design applications to meet each client’s specific business objectives.

Tom was selected as a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization, comprised of more than 20,000 business leaders in 100 countries. He is on the board of directors of First Westroads Bank, and is chairman of CUES (Christian Urban Education Services) in support of Sacred Heart School. He is also a strong supporter of Creighton’s College of Business Administration, serving on its executive advisory council.

Creighton University’s College of Business Administration salutes Thomas K. Nichting, BSBA’83, as an outstanding role model and business leader, and proudly confers upon him the Alumni Merit Award on September 27th, 2008.
