With the help of alumni and friends, we have a wonderful opportunity to preserve historical pieces related to the practice of pharmacy and share those items with a new generation of students and the public. You can learn more about our plans for an on-campus pharmacy museum in this newsletter. The School already is blessed with a nice collection of artifacts, including historic mortars and pestles donated by Dean Emeritus Sidney Stohs, Ph.D. In addition, several alumni have stepped forward with their support. If you have a historic item or items that you would like to donate, or if you would like to make a monetary contribution to the museum, please contact Curt Barr, BSPha'74, assistant dean for alumni relations, 402. 280.3148. I'm pleased to report that we welcomed some of the largest classes ever to our campus and distance pathways for fall 2012. A highlight of welcoming our newest students is the Professionalism Ceremony. We also welcome our new director of philanthropy, Sarah Schmitt, BSBA'07. She will partner with alumni, parents and friends as we move our School forward. Finally, Alumni Weekend is next week, Sept. 20-23. This is a great time to return to campus, reminisce with friends and enjoy various events. Congratulations to Christopher J. Forst, BSPha'81, who will be honored with the 2012 Alumni Merit Award during Alumni Weekend. I look forward to seeing you and your families at this annual celebration. With warm regards,
