Pulling together Creighton faculty and an array of national standouts from the fields of arts and sciences, business, pharmacy and health professions, medicine and law, Creighton's new online Doctor (Ed.D.) of Education in Leadership has been designed to be strongly interdisciplinary in its teaching of leadership -- making it applicable across a range of industries, most notably business, education and health care.

meet starlette dossou
Graduate student Starlette Dossou is not only earning a Ph.D. in biomedical sciences; she's also active in student government -- and promoting West African culture through singing, dancing and drumming.

Professor of the Year
Ellyn Mulcahy, who received a doctorate in microbiology from Creighton in 2003, was named the 2010 Kansas Professor of the Year by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.

Lt. Col. Alan G. Glodowski of Naperville, Ill., a 1990 graduate of the Creighton Graduate School, where he earned a master's degree in physics, was named the School's 2010 Alumni Merit Award recipient.

Approximately 40 graduate students had an opportunity that no graduates of their program had experienced before -- the chance to be hooded by members of the graduate faculty from their respective programs.

Website focuses on online degrees
Creighton University has a newly redesigned website featuring its online degree programs. The website makes it easy to learn more about Creighton's online degrees, to request more information, to attend a virtual open house or apply online.

Record enrollment, new programs
The Graduate School reached an enrollment record of 950 students this fall. The school also opened two new master's programs -- an M.S. in oral biology and an M.S. in Government Organization And Leadership (GOAL).
