Dean's Message
I am ever amazed at how quickly time passes! It is hard to believe that the fall semester is almost at an end and the Thanksgiving and Christmas Seasons are upon us.

We had our first snowfall Friday, Nov. 12, and for a while it was almost a small blizzard! I guess winter is just about here.

I am pleased to report that our students, faculty and staff are doing well and our list of activities and accomplishments continues to grow.

Celebrating a strong bond
As members of the Creighton Pharmacy Class of 1960 returned to campus for Alumni Weekend 2010 to celebrate their 50-year reunion, they reminisced about their time at Creighton, the friendships forged, and how their education prepared them for their careers ... and for life.

join the annual retreat
Alumni are cordially invited to attend the School's annual retreat on Thursday, Jan. 20. The event is free for alumni, faculty, staff and students. This year's event is titled "Put Your Feet Where Your Heart Is." There is a 5 p.m. optional Mass, followed by dinner and program, 5:30-8:30 p.m.

The School is accepting nominations through Dec. 31 for the Alumni Merit Award. This award is given annually to an outstanding alumna/alumnus at the School's alumni dinner.

The School's Alumni Relations Office is hosting a reception during the 2010 American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists (ASHP) Midyear Clinical Meeting and Exhibition in Anaheim, Calif., on Monday, Dec. 6. All Creighton alumni, faculty, students and friends are invited.

Karen Paschal, D.P.T., associate professor of physical therapy, has been named interim chair of the Department of Physical Therapy, replacing Robert Sandstrom, Ph.D., who stepped down to return full-time to teaching.
