Welcoming a New Year
Creighton School of Nursing juniors are all decked out in their scrubs and raring to embark on a new academic year. See who these students are, and their hometowns here.

The School of Nursing welcomed 399 traditional undergraduate students to the Omaha campus and 18 students to the Hastings, Neb., campus. They joined 116 accelerated nursing students and a large contingent of graduate students. There are currently 62 students pursuing a doctorate in nursing practice and 60 students pursuing a MSN.

Faculty News
Faculty on the bus Road trip
The Omaha-campus faculty visited the School of Nursing Hastings, Neb., campus on Aug. 17. In addition to meeting with Hastings faculty, they toured Hastings College and Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.
Leota Rolls and Dean Eleanor Howell Partnership continues
Leota Rolls, (left) vice president of Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, and Dean Eleanor Howell met during the Aug. 17 visit. Rolls and former Associate Dean Sheila Ciciulla are credited with initiating the Mary Lanning/Creighton School of Nursing partnership 24 years ago.
Cathy Carrico New faculty
Cathy Carrico (left) is one of six new faculty members. Joining Carrico on the Omaha campus are Jill Isaacs, Robyn Mendenhall and Kathleen Morris. Cynthia Hadenfeldt and Joely Goodman will be teaching on the Hastings campus.
Awards and honors
Martha Todd Dean's awardee
FNP Martha Todd received the Dean's Award for Faculty  Excellence for her achievements in teaching, scholarship and service. Martha is providing leadership in a research program in the area of simulation.

Amy Abbott was awarded the Teaching Excellence Award by the August Accelerated BSN graduates. Presenting her with the award was graduate Eric Siemers.
