Student Loan Reminders

Creighton University participates in the Federal Direct Student Loan program. Parents and students can visit the Federal Student Aid website to learn more about the Direct Loan and the application steps. As always, the first step is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon after Jan. 1 as possible, once income information is available. Those borrowing through the Direct Student Loan program can complete the online master promissory note and the mandatory loan counseling online here. Or check out the steps for applying for aid on Creighton's Financial Aid website.

At this site, students and parents can sign up for CU Alert, Creighton's emergency notification system, or view a campus safety video. The Division of Student Services and the Department of Public Safety encourage you to talk with your student about personal safety and to visit the CU S.A.F.E. website to educate yourself on the resources and information available.

Summer Fun Includes Research

Do you know what some of our students did this past summer? We do, and it's impressive. Take a light-hearted look at some of the jaw-dropping research conducted by Creighton undergraduate students as scholars in the 2010 Ferlic Summer Science Research Scholarship Program. These research projects are made possible by the generosity and support of Randolph M. Ferlic, BS'58, MD'61, and his wife, Teresa Kolars Ferlic. Watch the video.
