Dean for College of Arts Sciences

Robert J. Lueger, Ph.D., is the new dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, effective July 2008. He replaces Robert Kennedy, Ph.D., who was interim dean since 2006.

Lueger was associate provost for St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, where he served in a variety of administrative roles for more than 14 years. Prior to that, he was associate dean of Academic Affairs at Marquette University and chair of Marquette’s Department of Psychology.

Lueger received master’s and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from Loyola University Chicago. He served as director of Marquette’s Center for Psychological Services for 1987 to 1993 and has been a visiting scholar at Northwestern University in Chicago.

Daley, O.T.D., of St. Louis, Mo., a 2008 graduate of Creighton's School of Pharmacy and Health Professions, have both been named Fulbright scholars for the coming year. Climer has received a 2009-10 Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship (ETA) to Ecuador, while Daley has been honored with a traditional Fulbright grant to Ukraine.
